PRESS RELEASE: Girls With Impact Strengthens its Advisory Board With Appointment of Veteran Business Leader and Startup Expert Nicholas de Wolff

Noted startup expert Nicholas de Wolff is appointed to Girls With Impact advisory board

STAMFORD, CT., June 9, 2020 — Girls With Impact, a modern business and innovation academy for young women, announced today the appointment of Nicholas de Wolff to the organization’s Advisory Board, effective May 20, 2020.

“We are excited to welcome Nicholas to our advisory board. He brings decades of leadership in key areas, such as strategy implementation, marketing, startup mentorship, and technology development, that are vital to our future operations and strategy,” said Jennifer Openshaw, CEO of Girls With Impact. “Nicholas’ expertise will bring energy and expertise to our board and strengthen our commitment to empowering the next generation of young women leaders.”

Based in Southern California, de Wolff currently serves as a retained advisor, helping various clients worldwide manage and address strategic, individual, and enterprise-wide challenges and trends that impact brands and stakeholders. Previously, de Wolff was the Executive Director for the State of Oregon’s Digital Work Program, Oregon Storyboard. He was recruited to conceptualize and launch incubator and accelerator programs that would form the basis for future growth in various workforce sectors. Prior to that role, he was Chief Marketing Officer at Technicolor, formerly Thomson (Euronext Paris: TCH, OTCQX: TCLRY) a multi-national technology company providing a full set of services around VFX, Picture, Sound and Animation activities for multiplatform Media & Entertainment properties, where he led the company’s global technology marketing strategies, focusing on R&D, Content Security, Intellectual Property, and Innovation.

“Given her impressive work in and on behalf of the State of California, especially with the Commission on California Government Efficiency, I am honored to have been asked to help Ms. Openshaw and her team strengthen their laudable mission,” said de Wolff. “My wife and daughter personally motivate my support for initiatives that empower women in business and society. Realizing gender equity will inevitably pave the way for replication across diverse areas of inequality that merit attention. What motivates me most about the Girls With Impact ethos is that it does not so much represent the ticking of some politically correct box, but rather builds a robust platform, upon which so many programs may be developed to enrich and advance our business and social communities.”
